In this article, I created a list of the best welding backpacks for your welding tools and gear. If you are a welder like me with a portable welding machine, then you need to carry all your welding gear with you.
As a professional welder, you will have quite a lot of gear to pack. Welding helmets, knee pads, leather jackets, welding pliers and welding blankets are only some items to mention. Thus a good welding bag can be very beneficial.
Of course, you could just use any backpack you already own, but the bags shown below provide some features that are exactly what a welder needs. And luckily, a good welding backpack doesn’t have to be very expensive.
Now, please take a look at our top-list of cheap welding backpacks:

How to choose a good bag for welding
Ideally, a good welding bag is made of durable and tough material.
Also, it provides enough space for your jacket, gloves, grinder and tools. A helmet catch is also very helpful.
Moreover, a good welding bag has a sufficient number of smaller pockets which allow you to organize your smaller pieces of equipment like welding rods and small hand tools or pencils.
It is also likely that you will need a designated space for your water bottle and some food.
Also, consider if you prefer a real backpack or rather a carry bag with a shoulder strap. I prefer backpacks, because in my eyes a backpack is more convenient to carry around.
